Task DUISBERG "D". Good visibility. Rhine and docks identified visually. Bombed at 20.10 hrs from 12,000 ft. seen to burst in marshalling yard in centre of town. Fires weel concentrated in the town area, and one large one om HOMBEG. Flares were borught back as A/C was late over the target. Moderate accurate predicted heavy flak with about 50 S/L's. Junker 88 attacked at 20.42 hrs. E/A bloke off with smoke coming from port engine. One photo attempted. Bomb load 12 x 3 flares, 1 x 1900.
