12 a/c together with 332 Sqdn. and 124 Sqdn. took off at 1330 hours to take part in Rodeo. The wing being led by Major Birksted. 124 Sqdn took off first and 331 & 332 made rendezvous with them at Bradwell Bay at 15000 feet. From here they flew to Belgian Coast and crossed inland at Ostend at 24000 feet. Sweeping in behind Dixmunde they left the French Coast at Sandgate, then set course for base 6 e/a were seen 10 miles inland from Dixmunde, climbing east, but were not engaged. All landed safely at 1455 hours. |
