| Details | Flew at sea level till about half way between English coast and Knocke, then climbed, turned to starboard and followed coast from Nieuport, towards Calais, being at about 24.000 feet just off Gravelines. E/a were reported behind and above, so they orbitted once but no e/a were seen. Blue 1 and 2 had to break away as Blue 1 was hit in fuselage behind the cockpit and the port wing was very light damaged. All aircraft returned safely. |
