Pvt. Marne L. Groff enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) in 1943. She was one of twenty-nine Danish born WACs during the Second World War.
Vera Elise Strodl (later Dowling) was one of only two Danish women pilots who served during the war. She served in the Air Transport Auxiliary from 1941 to 1945.
Hans Vilhelm Bang is in London at the outbreak of war as representative for the Danish Bacon & Meat Council. He is in service in Royal Air Force during the Second World War.
Gustav F. Brodersen is one of two officers of the Army Air Force who are on 9 April 1940 when Luftwaffe attacks the Værløse airfield north of Copenhagen.
