Six a/c took off on armed recco of shipping from PESCARA to ANCONA. A believed fishing fleet of 15-20 small boats with lights was observed 10-12 miles out to sea and 3 ships were seen in S.BENEDETTO harbour.

Bombs were dropped on PORTOCIUITANOVA harbour, where 3 ships were observed, and the bombs fell on the road and buildings west of the town and also in the railway station area.

Bombs fell also over the town of S. GIORGIO and straddled the railway causing a fire.

Opposition by flak was negligible in comparison with previous night, but S/L's and ... were reported at MARINA d'FALCONARA (N.W. of ANCONA) and a believed ME 109 was encountered. The area was clear of low cloud and visibility was 15 miles. 24 x 500 lb bombs were dropped and 350 rounds of ammonition expended.
