(1912 - 1984)

Hans Vilhelm Bang is in London at the outbreak of war as representative for the Danish Bacon & Meat Council. He is in service in Royal Air Force during the Second World War.

Hans Vilhelm Bang is born on 25 March 1912 in Esbjerg. He is the son of lawyer and fire director Hans Gjerlev Bang (-1945) and Bolette Elisabeth Bang (née Lund) (-1947). Married on 26 December 1936 to Inger Bang (1912-). [1]

Having finished exams at Copenhagen Business College in 1933, Hans Bang arrives in New York on 2 October 1933 on-board SS FREDERIK VIII to become fellow at the Scandinavian-American Foundation in this city. [2]

In 1939, at the outbreak of war, Hans Bang is representative for the Danish Bacon & Meat Council in London. He works actively for the Danish Council in London during the Second World War. [3]

In 1941, he volunteers for the Royal Air Force. I have little information at this point on his service during the Second World War. On 5 December 1951 he is retains his rank as Flying Officer and is appointed commission for five years. On 16 May 1955 he is appointed to Flight Lieutenant; he relinquishes this rank on 5 February 1956. [4]
