Danish WW2 Pilots

Profiles

The nucleus of this site is the individual profiles of each person I have been able to find that was in air force service during the war. The profiles can be accessed though the alphabetical index.

Karen Hansen

Karen Hansen was one of the Danish women who served in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force during the Second World War. She was a domestic servant in Twickenham at the outbreak of war and experienced the Blitz before volunteering in 1942.

Torkild Lunøe

Torkild Lunøe is one of a small number of Danish pilots who volunteers for the Malayan Volunteer Air Force during the Second World War. He is captured by the Japanese and is sent to the notorious Burma-Siam Railway also known as the "Death Railway."

Hugo Holten Møller

Hugo Holten Møller moved to New York from Greenland with his family, when Denmark was occupied. Having graduated from High School, he volunteered for the Norwegian Air Force in early 1943. He served in Canada and United Kingdom until the end of the war.

Eigild Ramsdahl Rohde

Eigild Ramsdahl Rohde served in the Norwegian air force in camp "Little Norway" for a brief period during the Second World War. I have little information on his service, though.
